Steve and I have been having a bit of time off to recover from what has been a very busy year for us.
I’ve been spending a lot of time in Northumberland, enjoying lots of traditional Northumbrian music and joining in with as many singarounds and musical events as I could fit in. I swam four times in the North Sea, all thanks to the delightful summer weather then was fortunate to have a week in Devon making full use of my National Trust card and joining in with a singaround with the lovely people of Bodmin Folk Club.
Steve has been busy making guitars at his work bench, trying out some new instrumentals and writing his book of guitar pieces. He did even mention that he has arranged a new song/tune and written a part for me to play on my guitar … exciting!
Next weekend we will be playing at Joules Yard in Market Harborough which looks like a fun place to be and it has great food. We’re performing from 8.00pm but get there earlier if you want to order food.
